Taghazout Surf Expo 2025

Time flies! This year, it’s already the fourth edition of the Taghazout Surf Expo. 2025 is shaping up to be one of the best ones yet! Every year, more than 80 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors meet in a surf village right by the ocean. The Expo covers 4,000 square meters filled with surfboards, wetsuits, art, and ideas.

Expect four days of waves, music, workshops, and good energy.

What is the Taghazout Surf Expo 2025?

The Expo brings together surf brands, shapers, surf schools, and eco-projects. You can discover new gear, meet local surf camps, or chat with Moroccan board builders.

This year’s theme focuses on three things:

  • Teaching surf culture to youth
  • Empowering women in surfing
  • Protecting the ocean and beaches

You’ll find hands-on workshops, inspiring talks, live concerts, and DJ sets under the stars.

What’s New This Year

The 2025 edition will be more interactive and community-focused. There will be:

  • More exhibitors and cross-generational exchanges
  • Artistic performances and live shows
  • Workshops for beginners, pros, and coaches
  • Discussions about the future of Moroccan surfing
  • Beach clean-ups

This year will also honor Morocco’s surf pioneers and the new generation carrying the movement forward.

Focus on the FRMS Program

The Moroccan Royal Surfing Federation (FRMS) is playing a major role this year. In partnership with Nomad Bay Tamraght, Sooruz, Hurley, and Zeus Surfboards, the FRMS will host a full lineup of workshops and competitions.

FRMS Junior Showcase

Eighteen young surfers under 18 — six girls and twelve boys — will compete in a creativity-first surf event. Winners can earn sponsorships from international surf brands.

Students from the FRMS “Becoming a Competition Judge” Masterclass will also take part in the evaluation process. This helps build not just athletes, but a stronger surf community overall.

  • Date: To be confirmed (depending on waves)
  • Time: 12:00 – 18:00

FRMS Workshops and Talks

At the FRMS booth, visitors can join open discussions and training sessions. Highlights include:

  • Thursday, October 23 | 3:00–4:30 pm
    Who Owns the Waves?

  • Friday, October 24 | 3:00–4:00 pm
How to Become a Competition Judge
Learn what it takes to judge surf events — from technical evaluation to fair play and teamwork.
  • Saturday, October 25 | 12:30–1:30 pm
    Surf Coaching Practice
An open session about safer, more professional surf coaching, led by the FRMS and SDRT.
  • October 24–26 | 11:00 am–12:00 pm
Surf Safety & First Aid Workshop
A three-day course by Stowarzyszenie Morena from Poland, focusing on surf rescue and first aid.

Taghazout Surf Expo 2025: Food, Music, and Atmosphere

The Taghazout Surf Expo is not just about surfing — it’s about culture.
You’ll find a food court by Zaz Mouchi and Machi Mouchkil, serving Moroccan dishes and international bites.

Live bands and DJs play every evening. People hang out, dance, and enjoy the ocean breeze. It’s the true Taghazout vibe — relaxed, creative, and welcoming.

Why You Should Go

The Surf Expo is a must-see if you love surfing, the ocean, or Moroccan culture.
It’s also the best time to visit Taghazout — a laid-back surf town only 25 minutes from Agadir. You can explore, eat, and surf, all in one weekend.

Bring your board, or just your curiosity. You’ll leave inspired.
