If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing world-class surfers carve up one of the best right-hand point breaks on the planet, you’re in luck! The Pro Taghazout Bay QS is back, and it’s bringing all the action to Anchor Point from February 22 – March 1, 2025.
For those who don’t know, Anchor Point is Taghazout’s crown jewel—a long, dreamy right-hander that can hold waves up to double or even triple overhead. When the conditions align, it rivals some of the best waves in the world. Think long, peeling walls, perfect barrels, and plenty of sections for high-performance surfing.
Basically, if you’re a surf fan, this is an event you don’t want to miss!
A Stacked Lineup at a World-Class Wave at WSL Taghazout 2025
The WSL Tagahzout 2025 Qualifying Series (QS) 3,000 is a big deal for surfers aiming to qualify for the Challenger Series (CS)—the stepping stone to the Championship Tour. That means some of Europe and Africa’s best up-and-coming surfers will be giving it their all at Anchor Point.
Big names to watch this year include Kauli Vaast (FRA), last year’s winner and an Olympic gold medalist, who is returning to defend his title. Rising stars like Keoni Lasa (EUK), Afonso Antunes (POR), and Noah Klapp (DEU) will also be competing, along with young French phenom Tya Zebrowski (FRA) and top-ranked Annette Gonzalez Etxabarri (EUK). Expect mind-blowing turns, deep barrels, and a few surprises along the way!
Why February in Taghazout is Pure Magic
There’s a reason why the WSL keeps coming back to Morocco. February is prime time for swell, with consistent, powerful waves rolling in from the North Atlantic. The weather is warm, the vibes are high, and the whole town of Taghazout buzzes with excitement during the competition. Whether you’re watching from the cliffs or catching the action up close on the beach, the energy is unreal.
